Job summary

ShopRite is seeking a Baker at the Belmar location to assist the Bakery Manager with daily baking tasks, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and completing designated pastry and bread items. Maintain a clean department and comply with company policies.

Responsibilities include serving customers, ensuring product quality, following recipes, rotating stock, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and speaking English proficiently.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with team members and follow schedules.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Bakery area clean, neat, and organized.
• Maintain sanitation and QA standards.
• Greet customers and provide prompt service.
• Rotate products to ensure freshness and proper signage.
• Follow recipes and operate bakery equipment per procedures.
• Perform tasks in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
