Job summary

ShopRite of New London in New London, CT is seeking a Bakery Associate to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and filling of designated pastry and bread items, ensuring a neat, clean and appealing department and safe work practices.

You will read and follow recipes, maintain sanitation, rotate products, assist customers, and perform duties in compliance with safety policies and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs when needed.
• Capable of working in varying temperatures and handling food products safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, and visually appealing Bakery department.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations: baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging, and filling pastry items.
• Rotate products, ensure accurate signage, and follow safety and QA standards.
• Greet customers, provide courteous service, and assist with inquiries.
• Follow recipes and use equipment per established formulas.
