Job summary

ShopRite of Shrewsbury is seeking a Baker to support the Bakery Manager with daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, and packaging of pastry and bread items. The role requires maintaining a clean, visually appealing department and adhering to safety and QA standards in a fast-paced store environment.

This position demands physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, teamwork, and excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience for guests.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment to QA standards.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Rotate products for freshness and ensure correct signage.
• Follow recipes and operate bakery equipment per guidelines.
• Follow safety, sanitation and company policies.
