Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift; able to move items up to 40 lbs. with or without assistance.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory requirements and maintain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, and presented cleanly.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and stock shelves; ensure accurate pricing.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
