Job summary

Goodwill is seeking a Retail Production Team Lead at our White House location to lead backroom operations, ensuring donation intake, processing, pricing, and material handling meet quality standards and safety. This role directly supports store readiness, sales performance, and our mission.

You will train and coach backroom staff, monitor daily workflows, maintain compliance with CPSC guidelines, and safeguard donated goods while delivering excellent donor service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Retail Operations, or a related field preferred.
• One to two years of production, warehouse, retail, or logistics experience required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn and apply new processes, systems, equipment, and operational procedures.
• Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team while promoting a positive, inclusive work culture.
• Ability to provide strong donor service and ensure safe interactions at the donor door.
• Ability to interpret production metrics, KPIs, and performance goals.
• Proficiency with basic computer apps: Outlook, Word, Excel; able to research products online.
• Ability to train, coach, and develop team members in procedures and production standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the store; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Lead daily backroom production operations including donation intake, sorting, processing, pricing, and material handling.
• Provide hands-on leadership to backroom staff to ensure goals and quotas are met.
• Monitor daily workflow to support efficient movement of donations from intake through production.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with processing guidelines and CPSC requirements.
• Safeguard donated goods to prevent loss, damage, or misuse.
• Reinforce donor experience through respectful, timely handling of donations.
• Train, onboard, coach, and develop backroom team members on processes and safety.
• Coordinate opening/closing activities for backroom operations and align with store priorities.
• Maintain backroom safety and cleanliness; address hazards proactively.
• Support operational excellence and loss prevention practices; follow Goodwill guidelines and CPSC rules.
