Job summary

Affirm is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to own and enhance integration and end-to-end testing frameworks, with a focus on fast, stable test execution. You will design technical solutions, write ADRs, and collaborate with engineers to raise quality across services.

You should have 3+ years in test automation, strong TS and Python skills, and hands-on experience with Playwright, Pytest, CI pipelines, Docker, and AWS. This remote-first role welcomes candidates nationwide, including Detroit, MI.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in test automation.
• Proficient in TypeScript and Python.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright and Pytest.
• Experience building and optimizing CI pipelines.
• Experience with Docker and AWS.
• Strong QA, test design, and testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Own, improve, and maintain integration and E2E test automation frameworks and CI pipelines.
• Design and implement solutions to optimize test execution time and stability.
• Write technical specifications and ADRs, contribute to solution design with engineers.
• Support engineering teams with triage and quality best practices.
• Contribute to evolving the company’s test strategy.
• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases; collaborate cross-functionally.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
