Job summary

Auria is seeking a Software Developer - Intermediate to support the Command and Control System (CCS-C) Sustainment for DoD missions in Colorado Springs. You will build backend services and APIs in Java, C++, and Python, partnering with DevSecOps, engineers, and testers onsite.

The role requires a SECRET clearance and 7+ years of experience (or 4+ with a Master’s) and Linux-based development. You will contribute to secure data exchange, scalability, and performance in mission-critical systems.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years experience, or Master's with 4+ years.
• Strong development experience with Java, C++, and Python in Linux environments.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, secure data exchange, and SOA.
• Familiarity with build systems and version control (Git/GitHub).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps, and testers for high-quality integration.
• Develop components that interact with satellite ground systems, network management interfaces, and secure communications protocols.
• Optimize system performance and reliability through well-structured code, profiling, and debugging.
• Support secure coding practices and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives.
• Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to system architecture decisions for scalability.
