Job summary

Auria is seeking a Software Developer to support the HADES program. This full-time, on-site role is based at Kirtland AFB, NM, and involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying backend services and system components using Java, C++, and Python.

You will collaborate with frontend developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps, and testers to deliver secure, scalable software for satellite ground systems, with emphasis on DoD cybersecurity standards and MBSE deployment perspectives.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TOP SECRET clearance.
• BS in Engineering or related technical field with 4+ years’ experience, or MS with 2+ years.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kafka, Kubernetes, Camel.
• Ability to translate MBSE architecture to deployment architecture.
• Experience supporting Agile practices and guiding priorities/decisions.
• Strong debugging using GDB/Valgrind or profilers.
• Strong communication and collaboration within Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps, and testers for high-quality delivery.
• Develop components interacting with satellite ground systems and secure comms protocols.
• Optimize performance and reliability via clean code, profiling, and debugging.
• Conform to DoD cybersecurity requirements and secure coding practices.
• Participate in Agile sprints, planning, and retrospectives.
