Job summary

Auria is seeking a Senior Software Developer to support the HADES program, with full-time on-site presence at Kirtland AFB, NM. The role focuses on backend services using Java, C++, and Python, interfacing with satellite ground systems and secure communications.

A TS/SCI clearance and DoD compliance are required. Ideal candidates bring strong debugging skills, DevSecOps awareness, and experience in Agile teams tasked with scalable, maintainable systems for national security missions.

Qualifications

• Active DoD TOP SECRET clearance required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with a Master's.
• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift, Kafka, Kubernetes, Camel.
• Ability to translate logical MBSE architecture into deployment architecture.
• Experience applying Agile practices to improve team efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with frontend teams, DevSecOps, testers for quality integration.
• Develop components interacting with satellite ground systems and secure comms protocols.
• Improve performance and reliability through optimized code and profiling.
• Participate in Agile cycles and conduct peer code reviews.
