Job summary

Auria is seeking a Software Engineer to support the C2BMC program in Colorado Springs, CO. The role is onsite and requires a Secret clearance with DoD experience.

You will develop Java/J2EE enterprise applications, collaborate with regional teams, and contribute across the software lifecycle from design to operations. You will mentor junior engineers, participate in agile processes, and help improve software practices, testing, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, or related field.
• Active Secret Security Clearance Required.
• 7+ years experience with an advanced degree, 9+ years with a Bachelor.
• Experience in at least one object oriented programming language (Java, C#, C++, Python).
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and ability to apply them in a multi-team environment.
• Excellent problem solving skills with root cause analysis.
• Proven ability to mentor and motivate junior engineers.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a rapid paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop Java-based software for the C2BMC program.
• Analyze, test, and support software products; enable operational integration.
• Debug, configure, and maintain software; document programs.
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small software teams when needed.
• Collaborate with system support groups to resolve problems.
• Develop tools for operations automation.
• Participate in multiple phases of software system programming.
