Job summary

Auria is seeking a Software Developer to join the HADES program at Kirtland AFB, NM. This full-time position focuses on backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python, with cross-team collaboration to ensure quality in a TS/SCI environment.

Work includes designing software interacting with satellite ground systems and secure communications, plus Agile development cycles, code reviews, and secure coding practices. The team emphasizes scalable, maintainable solutions.

Qualifications

• US citizenship and an active DoD TS clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Experience with Red Hat Openshift, Kafka, Kubernetes, Camel.
• Ability to translate MBSE architecture into deployment architecture.
• Experience with supporting Agile practices to improve team efficiency.
• Technical leadership experience mentoring peers for project execution.
• Strong debugging skills using GDB/Valgrind or profilers.
• Strong communication within Agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and components using Java, C++, and Python.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps, and testers for high-quality integration.
• Develop software interacting with satellite ground systems and secure communications protocols.
• Optimize performance and reliability through profiling and clean coding.
• Participate in Agile sprints, planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to scalable architecture decisions.
• Perform testing, bug verification, and beta support across modules.
• Prepare documentation and analyze requirements for feasibility within time/cost.
