Speechify is seeking a backend Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs powering payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech, and external interfaces. The Platform team handles all backend services with a focus on scalability and reliability.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience building scalable, high-availability APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, optimizing for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, aligning backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
