Job summary

Speechify is seeking a senior backend-focused engineer to design, build, and maintain robust APIs powering our text-to-speech platform. You will own the backend landscape across payments, analytics, subscriptions, and new products, ensuring scalability and high availability.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS or Azure.
• Experience deploying high-availability applications on Kubernetes.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs (public TTS API, internal APIs for Payments, Subscriptions, Auth, and analytics).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on enterprise client integrations and custom B2B solutions.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
