Job summary

Speechify is a distributed, API-driven company that builds backend services powering TTS, payments, analytics and subscriptions. The Platform team focuses on scalable APIs and robust backend systems to support rapid product decisions and outstanding user experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node (required).
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers.
• Efficient in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.
• Preferred: experience with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Preferred: proficiency deploying high-availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, improving performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions for enterprise clients and integration needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and UX.
