Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs across payments, subscriptions, text-to-speech, and analytics. You will help shape the backend landscape, improving performance and scalability within a 100% distributed team.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure.
• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments (preferred).
• Proficiency or familiarity with deploying on Kubernetes (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend APIs (public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions focusing on enterprise integration needs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
