Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs in TS/Node for our distributed platform. You will own the backend API landscape, optimize performance, and support enterprise integrations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to align architecture with product strategy.

The ideal candidate has strong backend experience, GCP proficiency, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in backend development using TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure or other cloud providers.
• Experience with Docker containerization and deployment.
• Experience deploying high availability apps on Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API and internal services.
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions with enterprise clients and integrations.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience across teams.
