Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend-focused engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs powering its text-to-speech platform. You will shape the API surface for payments, subscription, auth, and analytics while ensuring performance and reliability.

Ideal candidates will bring TS/Node proficiency, cloud experience across GCP/AWS/Azure, and hands-on work with Docker and Kubernetes to deploy high-availability services in a fast-paced, async-first environment.

Qualifications

• Proven backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS/Azure.
• Ability to ideate and implement with urgency and impact.
• Experience deploying high availability apps on Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker).

Responsibilities
