Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks an AWS Technical Lead to join our cloud infrastructure team supporting a federal client. You will shape architectures, drive modernization, and deliver secure cloud solutions across multi-cloud environments.

Responsibilities include leading a DevOps team, defining requirements with stakeholders, and advancing operational excellence in the AWS domain, with a flexible remote work option and competitive rewards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT/digital transformation experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS/Azure/GCP architectures and implementations.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Expertise leading multi-tenant cloud systems (landing zones, multi-account).
• Team management, developing team members.
• Experience with securing cloud infrastructure and automation.
• U.S. citizenship or GC eligible for Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own the current state of AWS systems and identify gaps and improvements.
• Improve operational excellence across the USPTO AWS environment.
• Act as final escalation point with Program Manager to ensure SLA targets are met.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to define technical requirements and objectives.
• Lead the design of system improvements and oversee client deliverables.
• Direct a DevOps team to implement secure cloud strategies and best practices.
• Foster continuous improvement and maintain a prioritized backlog of enhancements.
