Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Cloud Developer Principal to design, develop, and sustain cloud-based solutions onsite in Mary Esther, FL. You will lead cloud initiatives, implement modern architectures, and drive automation across CI/CD pipelines.

The role requires 5+ years of cloud experience, DoD/Commercial IT expertise, and certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect and Linux+.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
• Strong CI/CD and IaC expertise.
• Five+ years in DoD/commercial IT.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and maintain cloud-hosted applications and services.
• Build elastic, highly available, and fault-tolerant cloud solutions using modern cloud architectures.
• Automate deployment pipelines and infrastructure using CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Translate customer and stakeholder requirements into cloud-based technical solutions.
• Migrate legacy on-premise systems to cloud environments using established patterns and automation tools.
• Integrate cloud applications with identity, authentication, authorization, and directory services.
• Ensure solutions adhere to cloud and cybersecurity best practices including zero-trust, RBAC, and secure configuration guidelines.
• Support cloud operations, troubleshooting, sustainment, and continuous improvement activities.
• Participate in cloud architecture, design, and modernization discussions.
• Maintain documentation for cloud environments, deployments, and configurations.
• Brief leadership and stakeholders on cloud development activities, risks, and planned enhancements.
• Provide training, user guides, and knowledge transfer for newly delivered cloud capabilities.
• Monitor emerging cloud technologies and proposing enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and security.
• Lead cloud development tasks, supporting project milestones, and performing hands-on coding, testing, and deployment.
• Execute approved cloud strategies and fostering productive relationships across teams to deliver resilient cloud services
