Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Cloud DevOps Team Lead for NIH CIT Hosting and Storage Services. You will lead and develop a cloud engineering team, drive DevOps practices, and ensure secure, reliable, and innovative cloud services across AWS and Azure.

Remote work is possible with on-site expectations near Bethesda, MD as needed. You will balance standardization with flexibility, guide architecture decisions, manage incidents, and engage customers to modernize cloud

Qualifications

BS/BA in IT-related discipline and 10+ years of related IT experience.
Experience leading cloud engineering, DevOps, modernization, or similar complex initiatives from planning through delivery.
People management including recruiting, performance management, mentoring, and growth of engineers.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day oversight for your team by delegating and prioritizing tasks and resolving roadblocks to ensure timely delivery of cloud/DevOps services.
Be a subject matter expert with leadership over the team’s service catalog and drive the technical strategy and vision.
Collaborate with Project Managers/Scrum Masters to ensure transparent communications on timelines, resources, risk, and status.
