Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an Area Vice President, Sales – Advanced Technology to lead its global People Protection specialist organization. This high‑visibility role drives strategy, scales a world‑class team, and accelerates revenue growth across Collaboration Protection.

You will oversee four global teams, coach three Regional Directors and about 17 Sales Specialists, and align with Core Sales leadership to optimize field execution and product adoption.

Qualifications

Experience selling security solutions and leading field sales teams.
Strong consultative selling and executive engagement skills.
Solid business planning: pipeline, forecast, and deal strategy.
Familiarity with MEDDICC or equivalent deal qualification framework.
Ability to build and mentor high‑performing sales teams.

Responsibilities

Lead four global specialist sales teams with three Regional Directors.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategy for Collaboration Protection.
Coach leaders and specialists to achieve revenue growth and product adoption.
Drive field engagement, manage major deals, and close high‑value opportunities.
Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales Engineering to accelerate adoption.
