Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking an Area Vice President, Sales – Advanced Technology (People Protection) to lead a global specialist organization. You will drive strategy, scale a world‑class team, and accelerate revenue growth across the Collaboration Protection portfolio.

You will manage four global specialist sales teams with four Regional Directors, coaching leaders and specialists, and ensuring strong field execution and regional alignment with core sales leadership.

Qualifications

• Security background with knowledge of security technologies and industry trends.
• Strong consultative selling skills with ability to articulate value and guide complex decisions.
• Solid business acumen: build plans, generate pipeline, forecast and close high‑value deals.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing sales teams.
• Experience partnering with marketing to drive demand generation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead four global specialist sales teams with regional directors.
• Develop and execute the Collaboration Protection go‑to‑market strategy.
• Coach and develop leaders and specialists for consistent performance.
• Drive field engagement, manage key accounts, and close high‑value deals.
• Partner with Marketing, Product, Sales Engineering to accelerate product adoption.
