Job summary
Proofpoint seeks an Area Vice President, Sales – Advanced Technology to lead four global specialist sales teams and accelerate revenue growth across our Collaboration Protection portfolio. This is a high‑visibility, customer‑facing leadership role.
You will develop and execute the global GTM strategy, coach regional directors and specialists, close strategic deals, and partner with Marketing, Product, and Sales Engineering to drive product adoption and customer success.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership of field sales teams.
- Experience selling security solutions.
- Strong ability to articulate value and guide complex decisions.
- Experience in outbound and pipeline generation.
Responsibilities
- Drive Field Engagement and close high‑value deals.
- Recruit, hire, train, and coach a high‑performing specialist team.
- Operate as a data‑driven leader using metrics and forecasts.
- Define partner plans and collaborate with channel teams.
- Manage pipeline health and rigorous deal inspection.
- Guide sales process with MEDDICC methodology.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to accelerate product adoption.
- Build strategic customer relationships to expand footprint.
