Job summary

Blue Origin’s Lunar Core Components Test team seeks a Manager of Lunar Avionics Component Test to lead a group of avionics engineers focused on development, qualification, and acceptance testing of flight avionics components for Blue Moon landers.

You will partner with Design Responsible Engineers, Quality, Operations, and other teams to deliver test solutions across the component lifecycle, from development to production acceptance. A passion for safety and hands-on leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• 6+ years in development, qualification, or acceptance testing of avionics/electrical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform causal analysis on faults.
• Proven ability to build and retain a high-performing team.
• Fosters a culture of safety and open communication.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and perform analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; manage priorities.
• US citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for avionics component test development, qualification, and acceptance.
• Guide the team in creating test plans, procedures, and requirements.
• Review and approve critical technical outputs such as test plans and verification reports.
• Coordinate with internal customers to plan resources for test campaigns.
• Track work, milestones, and risk mitigation with cross-functional partners.
• Mentor engineers and promote safety in the lab environment.
