Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Manager of Lunar Avionics Component Test to lead a team responsible for development, qualification, and acceptance testing of avionics components for Blue Moon landers. You’ll partner with Design Responsible Engineers,Quality, and Operations to deliver integrated test solutions across the component lifecycle, from development to production.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 6+ years hands-on experience in development, qualification, or acceptance testing of complex electrical, avionics, or electromechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform causal analysis on electrical and systems-level faults.
  • Proven ability to build, motivate, and retain a high-performing team of engineers.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and perform system-level analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support for development, qualification, and acceptance testing of avionics components.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and requirements meeting developmental and production objectives.
  • Review and approve critical technical outputs including test plans and verification reports.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to plan, schedule, and allocate resources for test campaigns.
  • Track work, ensure workload balance, and meet project milestones.
  • Identify risks and communicate mitigations to leadership when needed.
  • Manage staff lifecycle including coaching and performance management.
