Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Manager of Lunar Avionics Component Test to lead a team responsible for developing, qualifying, and accepting avionics components for Blue Moon landers. You will drive test planning, execution, and collaboration across design, quality, and operations to ensure flight-readiness.

The role requires a bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering and 6+ years in relevant testing with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in development, qualification, or acceptance test of complex electrical, avionics, or electromechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and perform causal analysis on electrical and systems-level faults.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams of engineers.
  • Strong safety culture and ability to work cross-functionally across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for avionics component test development, qualification, and acceptance.
  • Develop test plans, procedures, and verification reports aligned with developmental and production objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal customers to plan resources, schedules, and workload.
  • Identify, document, and mitigate risks; communicate with leadership as needed.
  • Manage staff lifecycle and foster a safe, compliant lab environment.
