Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wilson, NC is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician III (Avionics) to join our team. You will test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics units, ensuring quality and compliance with regulations.

The role is a 1st shift position with hours 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime. Prior electronics repair experience and FAA safety awareness are required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with electronics training and 2 years in related work.
• Experience in electronics within manufacturing or service environment.
• Safety-sensitive position per FAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Test avionics units for load, voltage, continuity, and electrical properties.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits to component level.
• Perform routine repair including surface mount and through-hole soldering.
• Maintain tools and work area in a clean, safe condition.
• Comply with EH&S, Ethics, ITAR and HR policies.
• Process repairs through the service center from receipt to packaging.
