Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a leader in avionics and aerospace solutions, is seeking an onsite Inspector in Wilson, NC. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, and gages using inspection data and drawings, applying tolerance checks and documenting results.

The role requires basic inspection experience and a willingness to work varied shifts. Responsibilities include using measuring instruments, maintaining calibration, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring work

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
• Prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow written inspection procedures, drawings, and data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools and gages.
• Use fixed or variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results as required by work instructions.
• Perform simple math to determine pass/fail against tolerances.
• Follow procedures to verify dimensions and ensure Work Instructions are followed.
• Identify needs for repair or calibration of measuring equipment and arrange as necessary.
• Support continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
• Maintain inspection stamp as required.
• Manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifts; overtime may be required.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure product quality and process adherence.
