Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Wilson, NC is seeking a Mechanical Repair Technician III (Avionics) to test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics units, ensuring high quality work compliant with regulations.

This first-shift role (Mon-Fri, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM) offers hands-on repair experience, exposure to surface mount and through-hole soldering, and opportunities to work with EH&S standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent with 2+ years of electronics experience.
• Experience in electronics manufacturing or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test avionics units for electrical characteristics and integrity.
• Troubleshoot analog and digital circuits to component level.
• Perform surface mount and through-hole solder repair on avionics equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with EH&S rules.
• Document processes and report progress to supervisor.
