Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on Launch & Test Engineer for the Orbital Launch Site (OLS) at Cape Canaveral to test, inspect, and troubleshoot ground support equipment for New Glenn campaigns.

The hybrid-skill role requires strong avionics foundation plus fluid/propulsion system knowledge, with relocation options to the Space Coast in Florida. You’ll work with a diverse team to enable safe, repeatable spaceflight operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in an engineering field from an accredited university.
  • Direct Avionics experience with cryogenics, fluids, or propulsion test stands.
  • Real-time console operations and anomaly response experience.
  • Hands-on HIL/HITL, EGSE, and telemetry experience.
  • Ability to read schematics and P&IDs; safety-focused thinker.

Responsibilities

  • Design, construct, operate, and maintain test facilities for orbital rockets and launch systems.
  • Generate and execute test procedures for high-pressure and cryogenic fluid systems.
  • Lead test operations with technicians and interpret test data for facility health.
  • Develop maintenance and inspection plans for ground test systems.
  • Perform PHAs/HAZOPs to identify safety and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate spaceflight readiness.
