Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a test systems engineer to develop and test avionics hardware and software for the New Glenn program. You will join a team of specialists to advance safe and robust avionics for a heavy‑lift launch vehicle, with emphasis on test system development for manufacturing and qualification.

The role requires hands‑on electronics experience, Python scripting, familiarity with EMI/EMC standards, and the ability to work with hardware and software life cycles.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and/or testing electronic systems or devices.
  • Sound knowledge of electronics and circuit fundamentals.
  • Familiar with testing equipment, with Python scripting preferred.
  • Awareness of EMI/EMC standards and IEC or automotive standards.
  • Experience with hardware and software development lifecycle.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to support weekend shifts based on program needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test test systems for manufacturing and qualifying flight avionics hardware.
  • Contribute to both hardware and software development for avionics systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and robust integration.
  • Support weekend shifts or non-standard hours as required by program needs.
