Job summary

Blue Origin in Merritt Island, FL is seeking a hands-on Avionics Lead to define and integrate payloads with the New Glenn launch vehicle. You will coordinate with cross‑functional engineering teams and own verification of electrical interfaces through IV testing.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering.
  • 3+ years of hands-on electrical systems integration experience.
  • Experience with system engineering practices.
  • Experience working with cross-disciplinary teams to test and deploy integrated electrical systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to earn trust and contribute to an inclusive culture.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the single threaded avionics leader responsible for avionics configuration definition and integration of multiple customer payloads with the New Glenn launch vehicle.
  • Develop avionics systems engineering requirements for customer payload integration and streamline processes for quick‑turn integration.
  • Support customer design reviews and present technical information to internal and external customers.
  • Represent avionics during mission proposal and scope estimation efforts.
  • Integrate customer hardware into the New Glenn HIL test platform and lead integrated testing for customer deliverables.
  • Own verification and validation of customer electrical interface requirements during Integrated Vehicle Testing.
