Job summary

West Star Aviation Inc. is seeking an Evaluation & Teardown Lead to coordinate and support teardown, receiving inspection, and evaluation activities on the shop floor.

You will provide technical leadership to safely disassemble and evaluate aviation articles, quote work orders, and mentor technicians in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. The role requires strong FAA regulatory knowledge, hands-on aviation teardown experience, and the ability to optimize costs and schedules while promoting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Four or more years of related experience in aviation maintenance or teardown.
• Leadership experience in a production or repair station setting, with ability to train and support technicians.
• Scheduling experience within manufacturing or repair environment; aerospace preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of FAA rules, regulations, and aircraft component compliance.
• Hands-on familiarity with composite and metal bond parts in repair/manufacturing.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teardown, disassembly, receiving inspection, and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate workflow to meet schedules, engineering requirements, and profit goals.
• Perform receiving inspection duties, including documentation verification and traceability.
• Train and mentor technicians on disassembly, tool usage, and evaluation practices.
• Read and work from blueprints, IPCs, and other technical data.
• Develop and maintain Corridor Canned Work Order Quotes for accurate quoting.
