Job summary

DAS Aviation is seeking a proactive Evaluation & Teardown Lead to supervise teardown, receiving inspection, and evaluation activities on aviation components. You will coordinate workflows, ensure on-time delivery, and mentor technicians in disassembly, inspection methods, and data documentation.

The role requires leadership, familiarity with FAA regulations, and hands-on experience with composite and metal bond parts.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of related experience in aviation maintenance or teardown.
• Proven leadership in a production or repair setting with ability to train and mentor technicians.
• Scheduling experience in manufacturing or repair environments, aerospace preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FAA rules and aircraft component compliance standards.
• Hands-on familiarity with composite and metal bond parts used in repair or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead teardown, disassembly, receiving inspection, and evaluation activities.
• Coordinate workflow to meet schedules, engineering requirements, and profit goals.
• Perform receiving inspection, verify documentation, traceability, and work order requirements.
• Train and mentor technicians on disassembly, tool usage, and evaluation practices.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maintenance manuals, IPCs, and technical data.
• Develop and maintain quotes to support accurate evaluation and processing.
