Job summary

West Star Aviation is seeking a Lead Avionics Maintenance Technician to direct a team of technicians in delivering high-quality maintenance and repair. You will troubleshoot aircraft electrical, electronic, and instrument systems, perform removal/installation, and ensure compliance with FAA paperwork and standards.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in avionics with supervisory experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced hangar environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and electrical training.
• FAA paperwork knowledge is preferred.
• Aircraft-specific factory training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to complete jobs with sound judgment.
• Implement strong turnover of work to the next shift.
• Seek opportunities to reduce aircraft turn time.
• Train and mentor technicians on projects.
• Supervise team members in daily workload.
• Perform avionics support including removal/installation and repair.
