Job summary

DAS Aviation in the Dallas area seeks a Teardown & Evaluation Technician to disassemble, inspect, and support repair of aviation components per approved data and FAA rules.

You will use precision tools, read IPC and maintenance manuals, document findings, and ensure traceability while complying with safety and quality standards. This role emphasizes teamwork in a shop environment and day‑one benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in aviation/maintenance preferred.
• FAA certification is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform teardown and disassembly of aircraft components using approved tools.
• Inspect parts for wear, corrosion, and damage per manuals and FAA rules.
• Maintain traceability of removed hardware and components throughout teardown.
• Read blueprints, IPC, and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify tolerances.
• Document findings in repair-tracking systems and work orders.
• Support repair, overhaul, and safety-compliant shop operations.
