Viasat is seeking a Wire Harness Designer to create cable and harness designs for aviation and space products. You will generate wire lists, assembly drawings, and specify connectors and wire types while coordinating with systems, electrical, test, and operations engineering teams to ensure quality and manufacturability.

Requirements include an AS in technology or related field (or 2+ years in aviation/space), SolidWorks or CAD tools, IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge, and proficiency in electrical

Formación

AS degree in technology or related field, or 2+ years in aviation/space.
SolidWorks or CAD-based wire harness design tools experience.
Strong oral and written skills; IPC/WHMA-A-620 knowledge.
Understanding of electrical schematics and BOM creation.
Experience with PLM/Agile; US citizenship; willing to travel 15–20%.

Responsabilidades

Generate cable and harness design packages for aviation/space.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure quality and manufacturability.
Create fabrication drawings and BOMs; assist standardization documentation.
