Viasat is seeking a Wire Harness Designer in Tempe, AZ to design cables and harnesses for aviation and space products. You will generate wire lists, assembly drawings, specify connectors and wires, and collaborate with systems, electrical, test and operations engineering teams to ensure quality and manufacturability.

The role requires hands-on CAD experience (SolidWorks or equivalent), familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620, and the ability to create fabrication drawings and BOMs.

Formación

• Associate of Science Degree in technology or related field or 2+ years of related experience in aviation/space applications.
• Strong practical experience with SolidWorks or other CAD based wire harness design tools.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• Solid understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 standard.
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics.
• Experience creating fabrication drawings and BOMs; crafting processes and documentation.
• Familiar with Agile or other PLM platforms.
• US citizenship is required.
• Up to 15-20% travel.

Responsabilidades

• Assist programs in identifying critical components, design features and challenges.
