Viasat is seeking a Wire Harness Designer to join our aerospace and space applications team in the United States. You will design cables and harnesses, generate wire lists, assembly drawings, specify connectors and wire types, and collaborate with systems, electrical, test and operations engineering.

Requirements include an Associate of Science Degree or 2+ years in aviation/space, strong SolidWorks skills, knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620, and experience with electrical schematics.

Qualificações

• Associate of Science Degree in technology or related field and/or 2+ years of related aviation/space experience
• Strong practical experience with SolidWorks or other CAD based wire harness design tools
• Strong oral and written skills
• Solid understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics
• Experience in creation of fabrication drawings and BOMs
• Experience with Agile or other PLM platforms
• US citizenship required
• Up to 15-20% travel

Responsabilidades

• Generate sophisticated cable and harness design packages for aviation and space applications
• Participate in group discussions
• Assist programs in identifying critical components and design features and challenges
