Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection, repair and servicing of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD data at our U.S. operations.

You must hold an FAA A&P certificate, a high school diploma or equivalent, and be eligible for a CBP background clearance. Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel domestically and overseas are required; you will provide your own hand tools and support mission needs.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid FAA A&P certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain CBP clearance; US citizenship may be required to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, repair and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD data.
• Conduct daily/turnaround inspections on all aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and fault isolate aircraft systems.
• May fly on Government aircraft for relocation and in-flight checks.
• May travel to temporary duty sites domestically and internationally.
• Furnish own hand tools; customer provides special tools as needed.
• Support mission with other duties as required.
• Periodically travel to support customers’ mission.
