Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspection, repair, and servicing on assigned aircraft. You will work in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations, conducting routine checks, troubleshooting, and potentially in-flight checks as required.

Valid FAA A&P certificate and ability to obtain CBP clearance are essential. The role may require travel to temporary duty sites and occasional relocation, with the use of your own hand tools and company-provided resources for

Qualifications

Must possess FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
Experience with aircraft maintenance, repair and inspection per manuals/data.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair and modification per manuals/regulations.
Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
Troubleshoot and fault isolate aircraft systems; read schematics and manuals.
May fly on Government aircraft for relocation, test flights, or troubleshooting.
May travel to temporary duty sites domestically or internationally as required.
Provide own hand tools; customer supplies special tools and equipment.
Other duties to support the mission as needed.
Occasional travel to support customers’ missions.
