Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing on assigned airframes in accordance with 14 CFR, DoD data, and customer instructions. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, with potential travel for relocations or duty assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certification required.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, prevention, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per CFR and DoD data.
• Conduct daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in aircraft systems.
• May fly on Government aircraft for relocation or test flights as needed.
• Possibly travel for temporary duty assignments.
• Use own hand tools; customer provides specialized tools and test equipment.
