Job summary

Amentum is seeking a CBP Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, overhaul, repair, inspection, and aircraft servicing on assigned aircraft in a DoD and 14 CFR regulated environment. You will inspect and service aircraft, troubleshoot systems, and support flight readiness.

The role requires an FAA A&P certificate and a high school diploma, with willingness to travel to duty sites, including international locations. Tools may be provided by customers; physical requirements apply.

Qualifications

Must hold FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
Must be able to obtain and maintain CBP clearance.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft per 14 CFR and DoD data.
Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
Troubleshoot and fault isolate on aircraft systems.
May fly on Government aircraft for relocation and in-flight checks.
May travel to temporary duty sites inside or outside the United States.
Furnish own hand tools; customer provides necessary special tools and test equipment.
May perform other duties to support the mission.
