Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic to perform maintenance, inspections, and servicing on assigned aircraft in alignment with 14 CFR and DoD data. The role includes daily inspections, troubleshooting, corrosion control, and potential in-flight checks to validate repairs.

The position requires an FAA A&P license, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain CBP clearance.

Qualifications

Must possess and maintain a valid FAA Mechanic License with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.
Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
Must possess a valid State Driver's License.
Must be willing to subject themselves to random drug tests.
Must be able to obtain CBP Background Investigation Suitability Clearance (US Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft in accordance with 14 CFR and DoD regulations.
Perform daily and turnaround inspections on all assigned aircraft.
Conduct inspections, corrosion control, troubleshooting and fault isolation on aircraft systems.
May conduct test flights and in-flight checks as required.
Furnish own hand tools; some tools will be provided by Customs.
Possibly travel to temporary duty sites within and outside the United States.
