Job summary

Piedmont Airlines in Knoxville, TN is seeking a Shift Manager, Ground Handling to support station operations. You will assist Station Management with safety, security, labor relations, and process improvements while leading a team.

The role requires FAA regulation familiarity, experience in airline operations, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. A Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field is preferred; starting salary ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Proven success as a Team Leader with ability to pre plan manpower and equipment.
• Familiarity with FAA and Aircraft Operator Standard Security Program regulations.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines, with strong communication across management levels.
• Experience in an airline operations/ground handling environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Station Management with daily operational activities across safety, security, facilities and labor relations.
• Oversee staffing, plan manpower and equipment for shifts, and coach staff for career development.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly reports to Station Management.
• Ensure compliance with FAA and security programs, and uphold company policies.
