Job summary

Piedmont Airlines, Inc. is seeking a motivated General Manager for Ground Handling to lead station operations and a diverse team including Shift Managers, Supervisors, and Agents.

The role emphasizes preplanning manpower and equipment, enforcing policy, driving safety and service standards, and reporting performance to the Regional Manager. Strong leadership and airport experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven success as a Team Leader with ability to preplan manpower and equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Business, or related field required.
• Experience in airport operations and ground handling preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills; able to coach staff and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee station labor relations, operations efficiencies, maintenance, facilities, and safety and security.
• Coach and provide career development to the staff.
• Manage staff scheduling, assignments, rotations, breaks, overtime, and coverage for absences.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports and ensure compliance with policies.
