Job summary

Auburn University School of Aviation is seeking a dispatcher to coordinate the dispatch of training flights, simulators, and ground lessons according to the published daily schedule, and to assign resources needed to support flight training.

Ideal candidates will have clear verbal communication skills for radio work, strong organizational abilities to manage shifting priorities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Must have clear verbal communication skills for speaking over radio to pilots.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate shifting priorities are essential.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Experience with iOS and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

  • Dispatch training flights, simulators, and ground lessons according to the published daily schedule and assign resources necessary to support flight training.
  • Ensure accurate aircraft status is displayed in the computer-based management system.
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability.
  • Assist with inventory tracking of training materials and supplies.
  • Assist in student records management.
  • Schedule aircraft re-fueling with airport.
  • Assist with Saturday flight shuttle, as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.
