Job summary

This on-site role requires clear radio communication, strong organization, and comfort in a fast-paced environment. Some Saturdays may be required, with early hours and extended coverage.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Overview

Facilitate the dispatch of aircraft and flight training devices used by Auburn University School of Aviation and its Department of Professional Flight, including reporting and tracking aircraft maintenance events.

Operational hours extend from 4:30am to 9:00pm, Monday through Saturday; the candidate must be available to work some Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch training flights, simulators, and ground lessons according to the published daily schedule and assign resources necessary to support flight training.
• Ensure accurate aircraft status is displayed in the computer‑based management system.
• Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability.
• Assist with inventory tracking of training materials and supplies.
• Assist in student records management.
• Schedule aircraft re‑fueling with airport.
• Assist with Saturday flight shuttle, as needed.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must have clear verbal communication skills as job duties include speaking over radio to pilots.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to navigate shifting priorities are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment with a focus on customer service.
• Experience with iOS and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly desired.
