Job summary

Republic Airways invites students to join an engineering internship designed to sharpen skills and contribute to the engineering and maintenance teams at our Carmel, IN headquarters. The program offers mentorship, department shadowing, and professional development workshops, with hands-on exposure to aviation operations and facilities.

Interns work on projects across engineering data management, document reviews, and process improvements while gaining firsthand insight into airline operations

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) in Aeronautical Engineering Technology (AET) or related field with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a business group.
  • Pursuing Airframe and Powerplant Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Create, adjust, and organize technical documents to assist a mentor.
  • Consolidate and streamline information regarding engineering documents for maintenance crews.
  • Analyze aircraft change requests for economic viability and fleet convenience.
  • Attend meetings and vendor functions and assist in duties and projects.
