Bolton & Menk, Inc. invites applications for an entry‑level Design Engineer (EIT) to join the Aviation Transportation team in our Ramsey office.

You will work closely with project leaders on municipal airport and aviation projects, contributing to design and construction activities to support safe, sustainable communities. This role requires a Civil Engineering degree, EIT or eligibility within 12 months, and a willingness to travel during construction seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• Certified Engineer‑in‑Training or able to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Prior experience in either infrastructure design and/or construction observation.
• Working knowledge and skills in CAD and design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Engineers with design and construction phase activities on municipal airport and aviation transportation projects.
• Perform basic design computations, preliminary layout and design, research and prepare rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Assist with project plans and specifications, preparing cost and quantity take‑off estimates.
• Construction observation activities may include performing construction staking, documenting activities, measuring and testing, and coordinating with contractors and city staff.
